The ZILLI blouson, the leather legend
Since it was founded in 1965, ZILLI has been making luxury leather blousons, going against the tide of creation at the time. With names such as Fox, Irony, Bond... the blousons have become legendary, true icons to which singular and talented characters from John Wayne, John Lennon to Francis Bacon soon became devoted.
At ZILLI, there is a unique expertise in workmanship. The blouson is the result of work by highly experienced craftsmen involved in every step of the process. The leathers are sorted according to their thickness, colour, reflective properties, or shine by experts in the workshop since a blouson must have perfectly matching leather in terms of feel and colour. The cutters carefully choose the place where the leather is the best.
The blouson is then sewn by a single artisan, following the tradition of Haute Couture creations.
It takes 12 to 40 hours to complete the work.
The triple stitching
At ZILLI, we stand for uncompromising selection of leathers for an outstanding level of quality, and comfort due to the unique lightness we require from our hides. The triple stitching – symbol of attention and discipline in workmanship - is a signature. We permanently search for innovation: our patterned frisette-band testifies of our quest. The silk linings, with bold and original designs, express the brand’s personality.
Every day, our ateliers celebrate a level of expertise, which simply takes the time to achieve perfection.
